“The cure for anything is salt water. Sweat, tears or the ocean.”

life motto.
specially the ocean.
gargling with salt water also helps to alleviate a number of ailments
Definitely gargling. Also, brining. And blanching. These cure many things such as harmful bacteria.
I cannot count how many times my mother used salt water as a method for curing all of my ills.
That, and tears got me through a lot of shit. It’s good to cry sometimes.

Based on today’s events, I’ve concluded that the guidelines that have been set out in your basic social justice 101 are indeed set in whiteness and leave little to no room for non-whiteness based discussion. I’ve constructed a list that amends a lot of the principles…
So “dumbthingswhitepplsay”.. What about freedom of speech? Just because a “racial slur” is spoken by someone that is not of the group it offends, does not mean it is used in a racial context or that the person seeks to offend that group.
If what you are trying to do is constrain speech to a set of stupidly thought up rules (or guidelines), as well as suggest that words that are offensive to a certain group are in some way owned by that group .. you are completely and simply incorrect.
Here is a guide that would better help reduce the “whiteness” problem you are obviously having, these are not rules of speech, they are ways I use to try and remain open minded.
1) If you are in a minority, remember that people’s perceptions of your group will mostly come from your actions, be an ambassador for your group.
2) If you are automatically offended by someone using a word that “your group” get offended by and is not a member of “your group”, you are actually being racist, regardless; find out the context before getting offended.
3) Keep any negative perceptions about /any/ group you have to yourself, try to prove yourself wrong. We all belong here and noone except the most extreme will truly be skew.
3a) If there is a “widely accepted” negative perception of a group, consider why that is. If you are a member of that group you should try to prove that it is not actually the case.
There is so much wrong with this that I can’t correct all of it.
The parts that made my blood boil are:-
1. “be an ambassador for your group.”
No, fucking NO! Someone’s identity is not a political statement! It is not any type of statement. If someone does judge an entire minority group based on one person then they are the ones being wrong. Teach THEM to be open-minded.
2. “We all belong here and noone except the most extreme will truly be skew.”
Our society is transphobic, racist, sexist, homo (or bi) phobic. Go check out statistics on discrimination. Remember that housing discrimination and job discrimination is legal for trans gender people in the vast majority of the world. And remember not to talk about something when you don’t know a single fucking thing about it.
3. “If there is a “widely accepted” negative perception of a group, consider why that is. “
Racism? Exists because the vast majority of people are racist. Our society is skewed towards whiteness even in non-white majority countries. That is why a ‘widely accepted’ negative perception of any race group exists.
Don’t believe me? Go check out stats. They’ll blow your mind. Don’t want to? Then sit your ass down until you know what you’re talking about.
4. ” find out the context before getting offended.”
An offensive word will remain offensive in-context. If you don’t want to be called racist then there’s a very simple solution. Don’t be racist.
Congratulations for missing the point entirely.
“be an ambassador for your group” is NOT a literal statement, but if you want to change the negative connotations from the closed minded people of this world you cannot mope that they are closed minded- you have to SHOW them that your group is good. You might not like it, but it’s how people work- they form stereotypes about people even if they don’t try to, it does not make them bad or you good for noticing, if you want to change how people think about your group, actively identify as it and be the best person you can be.
“And remember not to talk about something when you don’t know a single fucking thing about it.” Whenever did swearing in a debate signal you know what you are talking about? I said we all belong here, no matter what, and you are arguing against that? What the fuck are you trying to say?
“Racism?” Why does racism exist? And no, it’s not because of white suppression (that is racist on your part), it’s because of a widely accepted negative view of a particular group of people.
“An offensive word will remain offensive in-context.” That is obvious .. but when it is out of context? Don’t get offended by things that are not trying to offend you.
that awkward moment when someone closed-minded accuses other people of being closed-minded
god y’all are like ignorance pokemon, i just wanna collect you all
congrats, you’re officially too stupid to be in this conversation
go back to school bro
white people have so much wrong with them
they should be ambassadors and prove us wrong
For real though. They should try doing what they constantly tell us to do: be a faceless singularity. Like they get the benefit of being individuals while we all are representative of every other person of our race, and I am so fucking sick of it. They should try their own advice out. Cause I mean they all look alike anyway
They do, don’t they?
What’s iizard doing out of their Pokeball again?
they’re like psyduck and wobbuffet
just keep popping out when you don’t want em
That moment when white people prove racism exists, but refuses to see how because white privilege.
Basically every fucking conversation with a white person on race ever.

This was literally the funniest part of that movie.
White privilege is when you can get loud and dispute a wrong order with a cashier or manager and not have security called on you for disorderly conduct.
Oh my G, this is pretty much it.
This is life right here.
I present to you SAMBA from Red Models @RED_NYC in collaboration with #NickPerkins
MoC so often have their penises objectified as the only trait that makes them attractive.
I’ve actually noticed that when it’s a white man, it’s all about his body and not his penis. When it’s a MoC, it’s always about their penis and nothing else. Forget having beautiful legs or a wide chest etc, it’s all about Mandingo cock and nothing else.
Men, especially MoC, have features aside from their penises that are worth noticing. The patriarchy and all its hyper-masculinity should recognize that.

This fandom is too damn fast.
AND I LOVE IT
I get the joke.
Honestly, I don’t understand this at all and I will never understand this. The amount of hurt I feel just by looking at this photo just phantoms me, because what is this girl really thinking when she put on these shorts? That’s my deity, the One I take refugee when I’m experiencing sorrow in my life. He is my all, my everything and you have put him on your body? Not only that, you’re probably unclean, and very dirty and probably were even before you put the shorts onto your body. You do not wear Him, you do not eat meat when you’re wearing Him. You do not touch Him when you’re dirty. The person who’s even wearing the shorts is not Hindu, and I know this for a fact. No Hindu would ever wear this, ever. We don’t even wear Him when we worship at His alter. If Hindu’s, the followers, the believers of the faith, reject what you’re doing, why is an unbeliever doing this? Because it’s ‘trendy’? Because it’s ‘different’? That is my God. That is my religion. That is my faith. You’re not ‘cool’ or fucking ‘unique’ , you’re a fucking ignorant asshole.
^^^ Not Hindu but I had to reblog for this.
bolded mine.
This is really helpful, because sometimes I see things I think are cultural appropriation and I’m not sure how to say “Hey that’s really fucked up” or I’m not sure it’s my place to speak about it because of ignorance about the culture and not being a part of it, Anyway I saw a post last night that I’m probably gonna reblog after this post because this post says what I can’t about how fucking wrong it is….So incoming penis.
